It was a record tournament, thirty-one teams competing. The following Teams qualified for the semi-finals, which, with the finals, will be played off oh the Whitiora green to-morrow:— Section A: Te Kuiti No. 1 (Power skip), 3J wins. Dw j ■ ■ ■ >i'i Section C: Whitiora No 1 (Mitchell) 3J, wins. ■ " ')>'•'.!■■■ ■ ?■ r Section D: Te Aroha No. 1 (Dalton),- 3 wins. '! ; Section E: Whitiora No. 3 (Mc■vinnon), 4 wins.
Section F: Rotorua No. 1 (McFarlane), 4 wins, qualifying for the semifinals.
Section B: Wailii No. I,’ Cambridge No. 1, and Paeroa No. 2, had an equal number of wins. Tn the play-off of seven heads, Waihi won by one point. < Waihi and Paeroa No. 2 play off the first thing in the morning. In Section D, Te Aroha No. 1, and Whitiora No. 2,_ tied. • In the playoff Te Aroha won. ‘ The scores were I—7.
The following three rinks will represent Stratford against New Plymouth (play to commence at 10.45) and Fitzroy (play at 2.30), for banner competition, on Thursday, February Ist:—Black, Penn, Jackson (skip); Porrett, King, Macdonald, Smart (skip); Currie, Wright, Morison, Sangster (skip). Mr. Munro will replace Wright against Fitzroy in the afternoon. Any other players can get a game on the greens, rinks, to be selected on the green. ■ i The team must travel by the first excursion train.
