AMUSEMENTS.
HIS MAJESTY’S THEATRE. The current programme at Bernard’s asserted its popularity last night by drawing a good house. While “The Lad from Quid Ireland” is undoubtedly a good star drama, the general consesus of opinion is that in “The Doomed Ship” there is the finest story, and the best acting that has yet been screened here. The picture is an absolute triumph for the cinema, and should not bo missed by patrons of the picture show. On Thursday night, when the usual change takes place, “The Battle of Trafalgar” will be screened. The arrival of this film is one of the events of the year. Wherever it has been screened it has excited much favourable comment, and there is no reason to doubt that it will be equally favourably received here. The next “star” drama is billed for Monday, “Colleen Bawn” being the title.
