AMUSEMENTS.
HIS MAJESTY’S THEATRE
The programme presented to patrons of Bernard’s Pictures last night could hardly bo equalled for general excellence. “The Revenge of the Revenue 1 Man” makes a pleasing story out of a pretty girl, one exciseman, many moonshiners, and a dove. The wiles of two American husbands who “work” a'trip to the seaside and indulge in mixed bathing, provides a wholosome lesson and much amusement. “The Eruption of Mt. Etna,” “Pathe Gazette No. 138,” and “The “Imperial Durbar,” are films which commend themselves as being of unusual merit. In the Durbar picture the conduct of tbo Gaekwar of Baroda in saluting the King and Queen is clearly shown, and anybody interested in the matter can make certain for himself what exact degree of disrespect the Gaekwar was guilty of.
On Mariday night the great Irish photo drama, “The Lad from Quid Ireland,” which hacj a record run in Wellington, is to bo screened. Other pictures for that evening are “Little Soldier” (drama), “Captain Nell” (drama), “A Wife’s Awakening” (drama), “The Doomed Ship” (drama). In addition to comic, scenic, and topical films, there is a fine picture showing Fogwell rowing in a big race.
