SEVEN NEW STEAMERS

Arrangements for emigration made by Mr Tavenor, the Victorian AgentGeneral, include 5200 additional berths during 1912 and 10,950 each during 1913 and 1914 in the Milburr, Tyser and Peninsular lines. This brings the 1912 total to fourteen thousand. Seven new boats will be utilised and of these live will be refrigerated to carry n hundred thousand sheep
apiece. Five will be used exclusively by Victorian immigrants and Victoria is free to secure additional accommodation by other lines.
