In the Matter of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1908,” and of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908,” and the A‘cts amending the same respectively. . ■ PROPOSED SPECIAL LOAN OF £14,000. ~; f, ■ THE Council of. the Borough- cf Stratford hereby gives Public Notice that it proposes to Borrow by way of Special Loan the sum of 21.4,000 at a rate of interest not exceeding £5 per centum per annum, with a Sinking Fund of One Half,per bentum per annum additional, the whole of the loan to be repayable on he First Day of April, 1952, for the following purposes:—■ To acquire by purchase the whole of the business and undertaking of the Stratford Electrical Supply Company, Limited, and the entire goodwill thereof, and all the freehold and leasehold lands, corporeal and incorporeal rights, easements, and appurtenances, buildings, engines, machinery, poles, lines, plailt, stdek-in-trade, materials, and other property of the said Coin- ■ pany. The Council proposes to pledge as security for the said Loan of £14,000 and the interest and Sinking Fund thereon, an annually recurring Special Rate of One Penny and One Farthing (lid) in the £ on the unimproved value of all rateable property within the said Borough, and also all that the business and undertaking and all those the freehold and leasehold lands corporeal and incorporeal rights, easements, and appurtenances, buildings engines, machinery, poles, lines, plant, stock-in-trade, materials, and other property to be acquired by the Council from the said Stratford Electrical Supply Company, Limited, as aforesaid, and all the income and revenue of every description to be derived by the Council therefrom. It is proposed to pay out of the loan moneys the Cost of raising the Loan and a sum not exceeding £IOO for valuation fees and other preliminary expenses incurred in connection with the scheme for which the Loan is to be raised.
