"STARVATION DOCTOR.”
ACCUSED OF CAUSING YOUNG LADY’S DEATH.
SEVERE TREATMENT,
New York, January 20. Mrs. Hazard, known as the “Starvation Doctor,” is being tried at Seattle for causing the death of a wealthy girl, Claire Williamson. The victim’s sister testified /to the severity of the treatment at the sanatorium, and was herself reduced almost to a skeleton. The sister died under the treatment, and a doctor was called in. Having suspicion of foul play, he caused Hazard’s arrest.
John Herbert, an uncle, declared he believed the hones he saw in a coffin were not those of his niece, bfit made no complaint because he knew.the girl was actually dead.
