CRICKET CONTROL Adelaide, January 15. The South Australian Cricket Association lias adopted a resolution emphatically protesting against the Board of Control’s appointment of a representative to accompany the next team to England, instead of a manager selected by the team. TEN MILES CYCLING. (Received 16, 9.50 a.m.) Sydney, January 16. The cycling ton miles championship of New South Wales was won by Beck, in 25min 7sec. SPORTS PROTECTION. (Per Press Association.) Palmerston, January 15. A largely attended meeting of representatives of all local sporting bodies was held last night to form a local branch of the Sports Protection League. After Mr. A. A.. Paape, organising secretary, had outlined the aims and objects of the league, it was decided to form a branch in Palmerston. Mr. 1). Buick. M.P., was elected patron, Dr. O’Brien president, and twen-ty-one vice-presidents were elected. It was decided to enter upon a vigorous membership campaign.
