The press is favourable to the. Government’s Bill legalising gambling, opening luxurious casinos in the chief towns, and granting ,licenses to the highest bidders. A British syndicate with a capital of £1,000,000 lias offered to build casinos in Lisbon and Cintra similar to that at Monte Carlo.
