o WOMAN GETS SIX MONTHS’ IMPRISONMENT. FOR THROWING LIGHTED RAGS IN LETTER-BOXES. (Received 11, 9.40 a.m.) London, January 10. Emily Davison, who was arrested on Decemuer 24th for placing lighted rags in letter-boxes, was sentenced to six months’ imprisonment. Prisoner asserted that Jier conduct was by way of protest against injuries to women during raids, three women being dead.
