FIRES.

(Per Press Association.) Napier, January 10. A six-roomed dwelling at Greenmeadows, owned by Mrs. J. K. Martin, and occupied by Mr. J. Peters, was totally destroyed by fire early this morning. Nothing was saved. The building was insured for £540 and the furniture for £IOO in the United Office. Wellington, January 10. Fire this morning destroyed two houses at Kilhirnie. The one owned and occupied by William Millar, was insured for £6OO in the London and Lancashire office and the furniture for £260 in the State Office. The second house, occupied by W. J. Miller, was insured for £550 in the Queensland Office,) and the furniture was insured for £l5O in the Royal Office.
