REST OF ASKAY’S CREW ARRIVE IN SYDNEY. FROM NOUMEA. Sydney, January 0 The remainder of the Askay’s shipwrecked crew have arrived from Noumea. CAPTAIN ADDS LITTLE TO THE STORY. PROVIDENTIAL FINE WEATHER. (Received 10, 9.30 a.m.) Sydney, January 10. Captain Morner, of the Askay. stater, that he was picked up a liundred and twenty miles from the wreck after travelling for two days. He adds little to the story of the wreck. There must 4have been a strong current, which curried the ship on a reef. While on the reef the vessel was surrounded hy enormous sharks, which were close enough to he struck hy the men. The only inconvenience experienced in the small hoat was from the hot snn. Luckily, the weather was line—the boat was ton small to have outlived a storm.
