Deceased with two others heard the' 1 “toot” of a motor. - The others jumped clear, but deceased, who is blind in one eye jumped in front of the car, which was on the right side of the road and going at a normal sjtecd. Nfipier,’ January 8. | A ipasson'gqr by thb Mokoiaf Mrs. Honldsworth, of Wellington, died last night at 9.30 o’clock on the’voyage from Gisborne to Napier. She had been in ill-health for some years and was returning home from a visit to Gisborne. She complained of severe pains in the head during the day.
