OBITUARY.

The death occured this morning at his residence in Flint Road of Mr. Harry Walter Huggett, an old Taranaki settler, who resided in Stratford long before it called itself a town. Deceased had tlie universal respect of Stratford people, by whom he was regarded as a man of honour and high integrity. Several years ago .Mr. Huggett sold to the A. and P. Association tlie grounds on which the Show is now held. The late gentleman was nearly sixty 7 years of age, and until recently had enjoyed good health. Several weeks ago he fell from a mowing machine, and besides breaking some bones, he was injured internally. Dr. Steven attended him at the time of the accident, in place of Dr. Carbery, who was away from Stratford, the latter’® services being availed of on his return. Death was due to complications arising out of the accident. He leaves a widow, three sons, and one daughter. The eldest son, Albert, is at home in charge of the farm ; William, the second son, has control of tlie electrical plant of the Tokomaru Freezing Works, while the youngest son, Arthur, is in the employ of a Harvesting Company in Auckland. Tlie only daughter, Mrs Lilley, resides in Cambridge.
