A NEW YEAR’S GIFT.
January 3. The husband of Madame Hughue, who is separated from her, and is being sued for a divorce, came to her house at three in the morning and cried: “Here’s a New Year’s gift!” and threw a bomb into the house, wrecking the lower part of the building. The wife and child had marvellous escapes.
