GOOD PRICE FOR CHEESE FROM HAWERA. WILL THE MARKET HARDEN ? (Per Press Association.) Eltham, January 5. Mr Geo. H. Buckridge, New Zealand representative of Henry A. Lane and Co., London, has received cable advice of the sale of another parcel of Hawora factory cheese, which had taken prizes at the Dominion Show at Hawora at a price equal to 6:7d net to consignors. This is believed to lie a record price for New Zealand cheese on the Home market, and is threeeighths of a penny higher than the price obtained for the sale of any New Zealand factory output, so that open consignment is proving to bo more profitable this season. This price is two shillings per cwt. liettcr than best Canadian was selling at at the same time. Indications point to a further hardening of the cheese market.
