A POLITICAL CRISIS.
DISSOLUTION IN SOUTH AUSTRALIA ASKED FOR. COUNCIL’S OBSTRUCTIVE 1 TACTICS. t Adelaide, January 3. In the Assembly the Premier announced that the Government had decided to ask for a dissolution, and referred to the< constantly obstructive tactics of the Legislative Council to all democratic measures. The debate on the Supply Bill is proceeding. PREMIER’S APPEAL TO COLONIAL OFFICE. INTERFERENCE DECLINED. (Received 4, 10.30 a.m.) Adelaide, January 4. The Government ■ appealed to the Colonial Office in connection with the political crisis. 'The Imperial authorities declined to interfere with the internal affairs of a self-governing colony until every constitutional remedy w as exhausted. The Council last night carried a resolution for forwarding to the Imperial authorities protesting that the Premier’s message to the Colonial Office was incomplete and misleading. Both Houses passed Supply to carry the Government over the election. It is understood there will be a dissolution in the middle of January, and the election will take place early in February.
