Iswail Fiiik Bey, journalist, ' lias been bastinadoed for articles criticising the overbearing attitude of the Committee of Union and Progress. His father, editor of the Angora paper, Ims been arrested for publishing an open letter in protest, and was whipped till ho became senseless. Similar acts of tyranny are reported in other parts of Turkey.
