Statistics in the current Gazette show that out of the population in April last of 1,008,468 in New Zealand, 12,050 or 1.2 per cent, are foreign subjects. The number of New Zealand-born persons is 702,779, and United Kingdom 228,684. bho arrivals for November were 5248, and departures 2054, compared wv.Ti 4524 and 1777 in November, 1910.
