FIREWORKS

The public of Stratford w'ill no doubt be interested to see through our advertising columns that the. Crystal Palace Touring Company will !giv& a/- novel entertainment in the form of a magnificent fireworks display and a set of electric kinematograph pictures in Victoria Park on Show night, Thursday, November 30. The programme, which is a varied one, includes all the latest effects in pyrotechnics, showing the wonders of the modern scientific world, depicting many designs in their respective shades of colour. This will undoubtedly draw a large crowd of children and their parents, for an entertainment such as this is a treat for young and old. The services of the Eltham Brass Band have been secured to play selections in tho Park during the evening. The grounds are to bo illuminated by electricity, so patrons can rely on spending a thoroughly enjoyable evening. The gates will open at 7.30, tho entertainment to commence at 8 p.m. CRYSTAL PALACE PICTURES. The Crystal Palace Touring Company, under the direction of Mr. J. Hutchinson, wish to remind the public of Stratford that they are giving a picture entertainment in the Town Hall to-morrow night, and, judging by the newspaper reports throughout New Zealand, the pictures screened by the company are of the highest grade, being described as remarkably steady and clear. Specially selected music will be played by the Stratford Lyric Orchestra, conducted by Mr. Rodgers. Popular prices of admission, are to be charged. HIS MAJESTY’S THEATRE. Last week’s second programme at His Majesty’s Theatre was shown for the last time on Saturday night. A complete change of programme will bo submitted this evening, the chief attraction being a representation of Charles Dickens’ famous novel, “A Tale of Two Cities,” an absorbingly interesting tale regarding the earlier days of the French Revolution. The other pictures to be shown are well up to the high standard set by the management. For tho change of programme to be given on Thursday the great film “Humpty-Dumpty Circus” has been secured.
