ELECTRIC MAIN EXPLODES. (Received 24, 1.30 p.m.) London, November 23. During a fire in tho Strand an electric main exploded. Two shops were wrecked. The onlooking crowd broke into a panic and seven were injured and conveyed to hospital. A RAILWAY DISASTER. (Received 24, 1.30 p.m.) Paris, November 23. A train was crossing the Thoust River and the whole, except throe carriages, was engulfed in a violent torrent, ten passengers taking refuge on the top of a carriage. Desperate efforts at rescue continue.
