lars. THE POUT OF LONDON. London, November 23. The report of the Port of London Authority last year shows that there was a surplus of revenue over expenditure of £995,591. The increase in imports and exports for the year totalled £38,000,000, the greatest progress being made in the meat trade. _ i The Port Authority, with a view to meeting New Zealand’s representations, have decided to enlarge the scheme of reconstruction of the Southwest India dock and render it accessible to vessels of GSO feet in length, but before constructing costly de-* nets and railway equipment the Authority requires to be satisfied that the prosposed transfer of the meat trade to this dock will be acceptable to ail concerned. OUTBREAK OF ANTHRAX London, November 23. An outbreak, suspected to be anthrax, occurred on a farm at Sittingbourne. SAN FRANCISCO SERVICE. New York, November 23. It is announced at San Francisco that the Union Co. of New Zealand will add an additional'steamer to the San Francisco route and extend the service-to Sydney.' The steamer Tahiti will enable the company to maintain their present 28 day schedule at both , ends of the line. FROZEN MEAT FOR AUSTRIA. Vienna, November 23.
