RIFLE SHOOTING.
(By “Bislcy”.) Yesterday a team of eleven men from the Pohokura Rifle Club journeyed to meet the local Rifle Club on*the Stratford range. The morning was nob in the interests of shooting, but about twelve o’clock it cleared, and in the afternoon the match was fired. The conditions for shooting were anything but pleasant. The wind was anything from a rear right or left, and a deal in fish -tail at times. Some of the crack shots were beaten at times. The Pohokura team experienced a wind they never get on their own range. The scores nut up by both teams are exception; J I.V good, when the weather conditions are taken account of. Tire Stratford team Avon by 63 points, Stratford scoring 964 and Pohokura 901. Rifleman (lollop, of the Stratford team, topped the scores of the day with 95.
