TAIIANAK f MKTIKH’OLITAN COMMITTEE. A mooting of the Taranaki Metropolitan Committee was held on Tuesday night, Mr C. M. Leppcr presiding. There wore also present: Messrs A. McL. Thomson, A. Alexander, F. Orhell, 0. W. Sole, E. I l ’. Blundell, W. C. Weston and Colonel Ellis. The following licenses were granted:—Trainers, T. Carson, Arthur Cihort, James O’Neill, r l'. C. White; apprentice jockey, 'Thomas Fryer; gentlemen riders, C. J. Brough, F. C. Higginson.
