THE KANGO AFFAIR.
THE PORTUGUESE OFFICIAL VERSION. MISSIONARIES BLAMED. Lisbon, November 19. The official version of the Kango affair declares that missionaries previously provoked a conflict, necessitating tl'.e seizure of arms. These were forcibly recaptured by the missionaries and the natives from Likoma, hut, at the instance of the postmaster at Kango, the weapons were returned later. The missionaries again landed, and tho postmaster, fearing another attack, summoned tho party to stop. On refusal, he fired, killing a member of tiie mission.
