Labour circles arc not enthusiastic about Mr Asquith’s manhood suffrage, and recall that after Mi Gladstone’s franchise of 188! the Liberals went into the wilderness for twenty years. The Nationalists fear that the Government is contemplating an appeal to the country before Homo Rule becomes law.
