THE WEATHER.
The Government Meteorologist telegraphed this afternoon:—Westerly moderate to strong winds, hacking to northerly, freshening, and squally; expect unsettled and cloudy weather at times; glass rise slowly, hut fall after 20 hours.
The executive committee oi the A. and P. Association met on Thursday evening. Present: Messrs Dingle, Dobson, Hoaly, Porritt, Kirkwood, .Malone and it. Masters. A letter was received from the Inglewood Bacon Factory Company offering a prize of £3 to be allotted to the best pen of three bacon pigs of from 1201» to 1501 b dead weight, the class, to be judged by the factory manager and the pigs to become the property of the factory at current prices. A donation of £5 was received from the Stratford -Racing Club. The secretary was instructed to request the Borough Council and the County Council to grant leave of absence to their . employees on the second day of {he show. ’
