A.J.C. MEETING—FOURTH DAY
TRAFALGAR WINS THE BIG MONEY.

The day was fine and warm and there was a largo attendance for the fourth day of the A.J.C. meeting. Results :
High-weight Handicap-—Blast 9.13, 1; Lady Oliver 8.12, 2; Barley Water 9.2, 3. Eighteen starters, including Sharpshooter. Won by a length and a half, a length between second and third. Time, Imin 13 If sec. Waverley Handicap—Sandhath 7.8, 1; Mutilation 7.0, 2; King Bee 7.5, 3. There were eleven starters. Won by foxir lengths, a neck between second and third. Time, 3min If sec.
Dowling Steeple.—Hautapu 11.0, 1; Loch Fyne 11.0, 2; Leah Kleshna 11.6, 3. Minora also started but fell. The winner led all the way. Leah Kleshna ran off. Won by half a furlong, the same distance between second and third. Time, 6min 50fscc.
Members’ Handicap.—St. Modoc 7.12, 1; Wilari 8.2, 2; Malheur 7.10, !. Thirteen starters. Won by a length, half a length between second md third. Time, Imin ousec. Randwick Plate—Trafalgar (Smith) 0. 1; Cadonia (Pike) 9.0, 2; Bridge ,'McLachlan) 9.3, 3. Eight starters. Britain, Bihbenluke and Bridge jumped out. Bihbenluke, accompanied by Crown Grant, led for the first time past the post,_ Trafalgar and Posades a length behind. At the mile rnd .a quarter Crown Grant showed cue way to Trafalgar, Prince Foote, md Posades. Along the bad: Trafalgar took command, and at the halfmile led by a good length from Bridge and Posades. He galloped into the straight two' lengths ahead of Bridge and Cadonia. Tile latter then spurted, but was unable to catch T rafalgar, who won a splendid nice by x length and a half, five lengths further back. Prince Foote ■,nd Bibbenluko brought up the rear. Time, 3min 27scc. Final Handicap.—Kuringai 8.4, 1; Wcad, 7.11, 2; Son of Marsh, 9.5, 3. Fifteen started, including Sharp•.hooter. Won by a head,'half a length between second and third. . SOUTH AUSTRALIAN DERBY. Adelaide, October 8. The South Australian Derby resulted:—Sanskrit 1, Bangshire 2, It 3. There were eight starters. Won »y a length and a half. There were two lengths between second and third. Time, 2min 411-sec. SUCCESSFUL MEETING. (Received 9, 9.35 a.in.) Sydney, October 9. The A.J.C. meeting was the most successful on record. Over 150,000 >ersons attended during the four lays. Of, £29,327 prize money, New louth Wales retained £24,550. Mr. 1. Watt was the largest New Zealand winner—namely, with Ventura n the Breeders’ and Gimcrack a .the Stakes. Victorians only annexed £IBOO.
