THE IRISH STRIKE. NEARING THE END. London, September 20. The Irish strikers arc depressed. Many are resuming work, while others arc applying for reinstatement. AUSTRALIA. SUNSHINE HAIIVESTER. Melbourne, September 20. The Sunshine Harvester Co. put off ISO hands, owing to the lack of material. This caused the moulders to strike. It is stated that, failing a settlement to-day, a further 500 will bo discharged. THE STRIKE COLLAPSES', p Melbourne, September -26. • Tho Sunshine strike has collapsed. Tho company agreed to remove the non-unionist complained oi to a different department. NEW ZEALAND. STRIKE IN NORTH AUCKLAND. (Per Press Association ) Whangarci, September 23. Trouble, originating uitli the alleged grievances of truckers, who have been in conflict with tho manager for come time, has resulted in all tho men at the Northern Coal Company’s mine at Hikuraugi declaring a strike. At the union’s direction the men refused to start work yesterday, and declare that they are determined to stay out till their grievances arc satisfied.
