OPIUM SMUGGLING.
SIX MONTHS’ IMPRISONMENT. V Sydney, September 25. A steamer’s steward was sentenced tp-day to six months’ imprisonment for striwggling six tins of opium. The Customs stated that the fines had failed to ,act. as a deterrent.
