WEAKNESS IN SHARES. (Received 25, 9.40 a.m.) London, September 24. Mount Lyell shares are at 20s 9cl to 21s 9d. The weakness is owing to labour troubles. AUSTRALIA. MOUNT LYELL MINERS. Melbourne, September 24. The whole of the miners at JVlount Lyell struck yesterday. The mine is idle. _ ■ (Received 25, 9.40 a.m.) Hobart, September 2o The Mount Lyell smelters have closed. Over two thousand men are idle. The Governor is personally endeavouring to effect a settlement.
