The Master of Elibank, writing to Mr Gladstone, at Kilmarnock, reproaches tho Labour Party with forcing a triangular contest and conspiring against a Ministry which is seeking to improve the hard lot of Lie masses. He adds it is little wonder that in the pact Ministries tcught shy of undertaking great reforms.
