THE BARQUENTINE CARLA.
(Per Press Associat.-.on ) Wanganui, September 21. The barcjuentinc Carla, which was abandoned about four miles from the entrance of the Wanganui River on Monday night, dragged her anchors last night and drifted close to the shore between Castlecliff and Kai Iwi, about six miles north of where she was abandoned. No particulars are available, though it is believed that if prompt steps are taken she can bo made secure. The weather has moderated considerably, though it is still blowing.
