A PEA RIFLE ACCIDENT.
(Per Press Association.! Wanganui, September 18. The deadly pea-rifle was in evidence again yesterday. A young fellow named ' Hubert White, aged 17, was admitted to the hospital suffering from a gunshot wound in the chest. It seems that when out shooting at Aramoho yesterday he put a pea-rifle on the ground with the muzzle pointing towards his chest, when by some inexplicable means the gun went off. The wound is in a serious position but there is no great danger at present, though, the bullet has not' yet been extracted.
