KNIGHT OF ST. GEORGE.
SALVING CARGO. (Received 1-1, 9.50 a.m.) > Sydney, September 14. The captain of tho steamer Knight of St. George, writing to the salvage agents on September Ist, states that he has salved £IO,OOO worth of cargo, and if tho weather holds, probably bo will land all tho general cargo within a week. Ho attributes ‘the disaster to volcanic disturbances causing a tidal wave which set the vessel nine miles out of and ahead of her course in an hour and a half.
