A STEAMER AFIRE.
DANGER FROM LYDDITE. By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. United Press Association. (Received 2!), 11.10 a.m.) London, August 28. The steamer Meuelaus arrived at Malta with number 4 hold afire. As the next hold contained lyddite shells the vessel was ordered to the outlying harbour, where Admiral Symons end a naval parrs boarded her and exiimniishrd the fire. The cargo is now being unloaded.
