N.S.W. BY-ELECTIONS. (Received 1(3, 9.0 a.in.) Sydney, August 16. Both sides arc confident of winning to-day’s by-election. The campaign has been conducted with extreme vigour and considerable bitterness, and there will be a fight to a finish. Labour’s chance of one, if not both seats, is probably the better.
