NORTHERN TERRITORY.
FIRST WHEAT GROWN. • (Received -!, 10.15 a..in.) Perth, August 4. The, first sample of wheat grown in the Northern Territory, near Paid Darwin, has been 'received. Indian seed was used, and without rain, irrigation, or manure, it yielded fifteen bushels to the acre. The result is considered highly promising in connection with the agricultural development of the Territory.
