THE LATE MR TAYLOR.

(Ter Pr r ss Association.) Christchurch, July ‘29. Messages of sorrow and sympathy arc still being delivered in large batches from friends of Mr Taylor. The demonstration of public sympathy is only comparable with the death of Mr Seddon. The funeral is assuming such large proportions that the city authorities have been compelled to make special arrangements to keep the route open. A meeting is to be held to-day to make preliminary arrangements for a suitable memorial. The suggestion has been made that a fund be raised for Mrs Taylor, so that the family he saved from any hardship, as it is understood lie left 51, Very modest estate.
