- , TWO MISHAPS. '(Received 28, 9.10 a.m.) :■; t _, ■' To'kio, July. 27. The P. and 0. steamer Palermo was, driven ashore in a typhoon, but was not damaged. The Empress of China struck a rock off Meraawa, in the Kinshu district. The passengers are safe, and it is expected the vessel will be refloated.
