BAND CONTEST.
(Per Press Association ) Gisborne, July 6. The date of the North Island baud contest has been fixed for Fehr iary 12th, at Gisborne. The committee has decided to pay additional over the £SO allowed by the Association to secure an English judge. Accommodation for’ visiting bandsmen lias been arranged at a 6s 6d per day tariff.
