PRICE OF BUTTER.
(Per Press Assocation ) Wanganui, July 4. Putter is retailing, as was predicted a few weeks ago, at Is 6d per lb, and even at that price supplies are short. Inquiries have been made all over the Dominion, but there; is only a limited quantity procurable.; There are a few thousand boxes in the freezer at Auckland, but the quantity is evenly distributed among merchants, it is expected the, present.shortage of. supplies will last’ for‘the next five or six weeks, till the new cows begin to coine in.
