Kemp and Saivlc’s Market Report. On Saturday ive had a good entry of poultry, prices being a bit better than previous week. "We quote: Hens Is Id to Is Gd, pullets Is 6d to Is 9d, roosters Is Id to Is 9d, ducks Is IGd to 2s, turkey gobblers Gs 3d, geese 3s 2d. Vegetables; cabbages Is 3d to 3s 6d do/.., marrows os Gd sack, melons (bags) 3s -3d, carrots (sacks) 2s Gd to 3s, onions (central bags) 3s to os Gd according to quality, stringed onions (extra good) Id lb, potatoes (Southern U.D.) Gs Gd per cwt, contra] bags 5s Gd. Produce: wheat 4s 5d bushel, pollard (1501 b) 11s 3d, chaff (local) Is 9d per sack. A large quantity of furniture sold at usual auction prices.
