GETTING A HOLIDAY.
Tlio Now South "Wales Minister of I'.i'iica tion, while opening a now manual training room at Kogarah .School, recently, was faced with a rather stiff proposition. A party of girls had waited on him with a. request for a holiday in recognition of his visit to the school. The Minister had Ids doubts, so lie said that as many of the mothers were present he would like to have their opinion on the matter, and lie accordingly called for a show of hands. The voting was inconclusive, and the Minister derided to refer the question to the arbitration of the hoys, who gallantly rose to the occasion and decided unanimously in favour of the gilds having a holiday.
