AN AUCKLAND MYSTERY.
SENS ATI ONAL DISCLOSURES LIKELY. (Per Pyess Association ) Auckland, June 14. The extraordinary case of an unknown woman being found dead in the house of a well-known resident at Kingsland is at present occupying the attention of the Auckland police. The whole affair is at nrestfht a mystery, and it is believed that further investigation will lead to the disclosure of sensational particulars. According to the information at present in the hands of the detectives, a woman last night called at the house of a wellknown Kingsland resident, and, although an utter stranger, prevailed upon the lady of the house to take her in. Subsequently she was allowed to lie down, and a few hours later was found dead. The police the body as being- that of a woman of between 30 and 40 years of age, of short build, and brown hair, and it is believed she came from the country.
