Presbyterian senior cadet corps, hut will appoint chaplains foi the Territorials. It was decided to take no action meantime regarding meetings iii favor of the Dominion option poll. e () f ;U - £ Ihas been collected for the Tiinaru Homo Rule fund. KING GEORGE MEMORIAL. Napier, Last Night. A public meeting held to-night to consider what form the permanent memorial of the King's Coronation should take, decided to erect a public hall at Port Ahurin. PALMERSTON NORTH NEWS. Palmerston N., Last Night. The Manawatu A. and P. Association r.o-day decided to call for applications for a set rotary at a salary of £.IOO per annum. The Borough Council decided to apply for a Coronation grant to erect a new hall at Terrace End, a subsidy for a children’s Hospital not being allowed. The Manawatu County Council was informed it could, have a Coronation subsidy for a fountain, but not for an artesian well or water -trough. A RAILWAY BUNGLE. Master ton, Last. Night. Owing to a railway bungle a mortuary ear containing the body of an old Master! on resident, which was being brought from Wanganui for interment, was shunted oil at Woodville to allow horse boxes to bo taken on. The funeral to have been held this afternoon had in consequence to bo postponed. 1 his is the second occasion on which an incident of this sort has occurred during the past few weeks. AN ORIGINAL EXHIBITION. Christchurch, Last Night. The Canterbury Trades and Labor Council have arranged to hold an industrial exhibition later in the year, from October 2(5 to November 18, support to the project being accorded by the Canterbury Industrial Association. N This exhibition will be the first of its kind yet organised by a trades council it; the Dominion, and is already meeting with most encouraging support. ACCIDENTS & FATALS7JES. i<ARMER FATALLY Kla ,-.j. ("Per Press Association.) Auckland. Last Night. William Graham', a farmer, aged 31. was brought in to 'the hospital from Pakuranga to-dav, suffering from severe injuries caused bv being kicked in Hie small of the back by a horse, and* died soon after admission. He was a native of Australia, and had been in New Zealand about five years.
