BUBONIC PLAGUE.
ANOTHER CASE IN AUCKLAND. By Telegraph.—Pruis Association. Auckland, Last Night. A case which was at first thought to be typhoid fever when admitted to the Auckland hospital has now been diagnosed as bubonic plague. The patient, a man, though seriously ill, is not considered to be in a dangerous condition. It is reported that some rats alleged to be plague infected have been found in cellars adjoining Queen street.
