ONE MAX KILLED; SEVEN SERIOUSLY HURT. Perth. May 22. 1 The failuVe of the winding gear of the Gwalia mine at Leonora caused a skip containing ten men to fall to the bottom, a distance of 20,00 feet. The shaft cable parted and fell on top of Frank Rooney, assistant surveyor, who was killed Adams, a surveyor, is also unexpected to recover. Six miners were seriously injured. . 1
