(Per Press Association.) Wellington, May 22. Theodore Davidson, a seaman on the lonic, fell down a companion way on that vessel on Saturday night. He was taken to the hospital suffering from concussion of the spine and kidneys. Hamilton, May 22. The ten-year-old son of Moses MoNickle was fatally accidentally shot on Saturday while playing with a loaded shot gun during his parents’ absence. It is surmised that the hoy took down the gun from above the mantelpiece for the purpose of practising scout drill and concussion discharged the weapon, shattering the lower part of the hoy’s head. A verdict of “accidentally shot” was returned at the inquest. Christchurch, Mav 22. T 1 >o body of a nowly-horn male child was found in the Heathcote River yesterday. At an inquest this morning the evidence showed that the child was born alive, and death was duo to failure to tie the umbilical cord. The child was dead when put into the water.
