BLUFF ’NEWS

NATIONAL SAVINGS.— For the thirty-second successive week the National Savings quota was reached on Saturday. VITAL STATISTICS— The vital statistics for the month of October were as follows with last year’s figures for the corresponding montlj in parentheses: Births 5 (5); deaths 0 (0); marriages 1 (1). PERSONAL— Mr A. M. Wilson, postmaster, is on annual leave. During his absence Mr J. Mitchell will be acting postmaster.

THE WEATHER— During the week strong southerly gales have been blowing at Bluff. Gardens have been badly battered and in many cases fences were blown down.
