Occasional Rain (Special) WELLINGTON, November 1. Following is the special weather forecast for Southland issued by the Meteorological Office, Wellington;— Moderate to fresh winds from a westerly quarter predominating. The weather cloudy with occasional rain chiefly in the western ranges; temperatures cool to moderate. The weather in Invercargill on Saturday was fine and sunny with a strong westerly wind The wind continued in force on Sunday and rain fell frequently. At 1 o'clock this morning rain was falling accompanied by a westerly wind. The barometer reading was 30.03 in. (falling). The Tides.—High water, Invercargill, 9.37 am.- 10.40 p.m. Bluff. 8.56 a.m.; 9.23 p.m. Riverton, 7.56 a.m.; 9.23 p.m. Orctl Beach, 8.05 a.m.; 8.32 p.m. The Sun.—Rises 5.22 a.m.; sets 7.40 p.m. ATA DERRIS DUST fatal to White Butterflies.
